"Arash Aria, who walked into Manchester police station demanding to be deported, speaks of his loneliness and disillusionment in the city
Rudeness and "violence" from the people of Manchester led an Iranian man to walk into a police station demanding to be deported, he has disclosed.
Arash Aria, 25, was described as “agitated and angry” as he told officers he wanted to leave after living illegally in the city for a decade.
But all was not what it seemed, as officers from Manchester’s city centre police station found when they contacted the Home Office to check Mr Aria’s status."
