In other words a system of command and control backed by a substantial propoganda machine higher sense of ethical standards and the enactment of international laws to assure a sustainable global society.
Let us not forget EU open doors immigration benefits IT contractors more than anyone -
Are you sure we can achieve those things? Maybe if we all just try really hard.Originally posted by Jog On View PostApparently poverty, war and climate destruction can be achieved now - but it invloves getting rid of money and Elitism etc:
I'll work on war. DA, can you try to cause some poverty please? If you do so by burning piles of cash it might help with the climate destruction too.Comment

Quite why people think that the future of mankind involves controlling rather than freeing human nature I do not know. Tyrannies have been trying to suppress human nature for centuries and they still exist today in the form of ISIS, Mugabe, Putin etc and we know what sort of backward societies they all run.Originally posted by DodgyAgent View PostIn other words a system of command and control backed by a substantial propoganda machine higher sense of ethical standards and the enactment of international laws to assure a sustainable global society.
There is no better or fairer system than free market capitalism enhanced by a set of rules that sett he balance between social responsibility ( running inefficient public sector institutions are not part of that) and enterprise.
There is currently no problem with the enterprise side of society but there is a problem with the social side which is not about money but is about competence.Let us not forget EU open doors immigration benefits IT contractors more than anyoneComment

I like to think that this is the direction our species is heading in as we evolve, if we can only just not destroy the eco system and wipe ourselves out in the mean time...

here's another one

he "Great Earthquake" leads the cities of Los Angeles, San Diego, and Santa Barbara to merge into a single metropolis under the name San Angeles. The city becomes a utopia run under the pseudo-pacifist guidance and control of the envangelistic Dr. Jeremy Corbyn, where human behavior is tightly controlled.Let us not forget EU open doors immigration benefits IT contractors more than anyoneComment

What does money have to do with greed?Originally posted by LondonManc View PostAs much as I'm not a Trekkie, I like Roddenberry's vision of no money, no religion in the future. Get rid of greed and theism and you'll kill off most, if not all, wars overnight.
And 2 - why on earth would you not want money?!!! It's the most simple & effective method of signalling your own personal needs & wants, weighted against lesser needs & wants, and other people's needs & wants, to a literally billions of trading individuals around the globe.
Without money you can't do that - and as such the aggregate population of the world won't be able to service your needs as efficiently.Comment
