Isn't threatening a military coup grounds for treason?

Doesn't sound anything like a coup, which is abruptly seizing power.

Resigning commissions en masse, or appearing on Newsnight to openly criticise the Government, is hardly cordoning off Whitehall and rounding up the House of Commons etc.
