No it isn't. It has a higher proportion of non-British residents than anywhere else in Scotland, but it is nothing like London, Brum or the Northern English slums.

In my own case, I'm going to try and get a restrictive covenant prventing anyone from doing this to my property if I ever decide to sell it. ...

Agree entirely with the sentiment, but I'm pretty sure restrictive covenants can be enforced only while you have some involvement with the property or its vicinity. If not then they're a dead letter.

It's funny how the left seem happy for our green spaces to get concreted over (while a lot of troughers get very rich) & it's down to us selfish righties* to defend our most precious asset for future generations

If they want to give incentives for them to sell up - like offering above the market value, then fine.

However, I suspect "incentivise" means to punish them for staying in the house, like increasing council tax, removing benefits etc.

So therefore my British standards, still fairly multicultural then. If you're taking London/Bradford as your baseline, everywhere looks very white!

Why get them to downsize? It will only create blockages elsewhere. Possible solutions :-

1. Kill them
2. Build more houses
3. Property taxes - 100% on second homes
4. Rental income taxed at 100% - no expenses allowed
5. UK property to be owned by UK passport holders
6. Send immigrants home

Yes, you'd be very successful selling it
