I spent a few months working in Texas – Dallas to be precise.
There is no way I would want to live there all the time. Everything is very artificial, need to drive everywhere – the local ‘pub’ was just a regular mall unit.
Was an interesting experience, but there is a very great cut-off from life feeling over there which I really did not enjoy.
If going with wife and family would be a good life, but not going alone.
Mind you, Dallas is like a country in its own right, where abouts in Texas?
Is this offer to replace a burnt-out predecessor who's no longer up to snuff and spends his time alternating between rearranging his pens into neat rows on his desk and slamming staff up against a wall while screaming?
If so, sounds like it could be quite a miserable job. Could be lots of champagne though.
