Would that have stopped the war? More likely the resulting power vacuum would result in a worse war. How did overthrowing Gadaffi and Sadam Hussein work out?

This happened on August 21st so why are they making such a big deal about it right now?

Whatever the excuse for doing it we are not supposed to be in Syria dropping bombs as I remember it being voted against in 2013. So whatever way you look at it it's illegal and illegal military action is a good thing is it? Where does it stop? There has to be some adherance to international law or shall we just follow the US while they roll over Syria and into Iran (oops forgot Russia is in the way).

I'm with Corby on this one and I hope this PR stunt backfires on CMD.

Seriously - where does it stop if countries can just do WTF they want whether it's legal or not?

I also expect a massive fear campaign from Murdoch coming up to the renewed commons vote on bombing Assad (oops I mean ISIS) - maybe even some fresh terror attacks just to seal the deal...
have you told ISIS that they might not be complying with International law?

Fiction, but now everybody knows we have the technology, quite plausible.
Hopefully they thought about the security. It's probably not internet-connected with "Password1".

It would be interesting to know the technology though. The RAF fly them out of base in Lincolnshire.

Now that would be an odd life. Monitoring terrorists in a war-zone, killing them, then popping home to pick the kids up from school.

I worked on some of the software they use.

            It's probably "pa$$w0rd1" at least.

It worked out pretty well actually:

Better than what happened when we interfere.

These are barbaric countries that need a dictator.

Just like call of duty. Its easy.

I would happily do it. If there were proof.

Of course there was proof of WMDs...

How does 'follow international law' = 'do nothing'?

What's wrong with sending in the UN - or at the very least getting legal backing?

There would be no ISIS. They weren't ideal leaders but the millions of people who are dead, dying and fleeing had it a lot better than they've got now. And if the US didn't want their natural resources so badly they might even have had a chance at developing into 1st world countries.

At least we had security.

Ask the Kurds, I'm sure they'd be delighted with Saddam still in charge.
