I know exactly what the OP is on about. I am also in the mid-life crisis club with zero motivation. I just want to retire and do nothing other than what I feel like on that particular day! I have loads of interests and postponed hobbies that I aim to revive, along with self-study in areas that genuinely interest me.
But then, I was always like this even at school so perhaps it is a personality (or lack thereof) thing.
I have a good life, family and friends but just can't be arsed with work other than to line the coffers - sound familiar? I guess we are similar in that respect. I also suspect that we are very spoilt due to contracting. Imagine having to work like a bastard for £18k a year and having a tulip load of debt?
