Oh, maybe by talking to his parents, seeing all his baby and kid photo's frequently, it's a subject that's might have come up a few times during their marriage. Just a possibility.

Or, they could ask one of his parents rather than the implicit suggestion that being married to someone makes you a medical expert on their genetics.
