I used to live in a fairly well to do street in Glasgow ( yes there are such streets )

Someone went down one night and keyed every single car, caused about 200k worth of damage.

Good Job Scotland didn't get their independence, it would have been awful spending their entire gdp on one keying incident.

Forget the "go and deck him" brigade. 99% of people wouldn't actually do that even if they like to think they would. Even if you are considering it, what makes you sure you would win a fight? What if he then comes back next week with some friends and a claw hammer etc?

Unless you can prove things the police won't care.

Overall ... I am not sure that there is much you can really do unless you are prepared to get your hands dirty and have support you can rely on. You could retaliate in kind but what happens if then retaliates again? How far are you prepared to go?
