What's the scuttlebutt on North East bus services these days?

I need to get from Ebchester, co. Durham to Bellingham, Northumberland.

In the past I would have done United / Go Ahead Northern -> Newcastle, City Busways -> Haymarket & Northumbria -> Bellingham.

No that everything is run by Stagecoach / First Bus, is there an integrated cross Tyne service these days?

Can't you get a bus to Blaydon or the Metro Centre then a train to Hexham and a bus to Bellingham?

I'd prefer the bus, thankyou.

Every time I've been on that train it has been commandeered by the curry house on Corbridge station and I've been surrounded by drunkards stuffing their faces with puppudums.

You could cycle up the A68 and go across but it isn't much better.

Sorry, I'd assumed that you were travelling during the day. There is a bus from Blaydon or the Metro Centre to Hexham though.
