is that where you get you aggressive 'keyboard warrior' side from ?When freedom comes along, don't PISH in the water supply..... -
Whatever the "little scotlanders" here may say once the SNP get their hands on tax raising powers then they are in the queue behind Argentina, Venezuela and Greece for IMF handouts

Osborne's more subtle than that. Offer the SNP full fiscal autonomy (Salmond's much desired Devo-Max) and then sit back and watch SNP try to align that power to their anti-austerity regime when they will have to raise taxes in order to cover off the £1600 a head benefit they get from the Barnett formula. This was floated in the HoC yesterday and all of a sudden SNP were looking a little nervous...
It's about time SNP - or at least Sturgeon - looked up the meaning of democracy as well. There is only one UK at present. I'm not the only one getting sick of her claiming some sort of localised mandate off 5% of the vote.Blog? What blog...?

We didn't fight to keep the Barnett formula. We fought for independence.Originally posted by eek View PostYou fought to keep the Barnett formula and now complain when you see the consequences of it.
Didn't we offer you full fiscal autonomy only for Scotland to reject it?
Call Me Dave said he loved Scotland and if we stayed part of the UK he would give us more powers and keep the Barnett formula.
The 3 amigos vowed to give us FFA as part of 'as near home rule as you can get' but have now reneged on that promise. They are trying to water down the already watered-down Smith Commission in the new Scotland act.
It's all leading to Indyref2 so not long to go now.

FFA would include all taxes raised including from oil. Even with the price low we would have enough to go around for 5 million people compared to 70 million in the UK. What will Gideon do without the tax intake from oil? Where will he get the £100Bn he needs for Trident or the £Billions needed for HS2 and other infrastructure projects for the south east?Originally posted by malvolio View PostOsborne's more subtle than that.
