So you think increasing our population every year by a city the size of Hull should be allowed to happen without question? Immigration should remain unchallenged just because you think that you know where "rabid anti-immigration leads"?

Religion is what you place highest in life. Which for an agent means money. Any chance of changing that?

Yeah, we'd kind of noticed that you're intolerant and bigoted towards anyone who doesn't share your world view.

@D.A. some people think it's worth trying to live in freedom. Even if they converted, there's no guarantee they'd be left alone - people might suspect that their conversion wasn't genuine. Persecution doesn't just stop because at knifepoint you've agreed to convert - any hint that you're holding on to the habits of your previous lifestyle will get you killed. I would have thought even someone as stupid as a recruitment consultant could have figured this out.

Only as far as religion goes, I don't think I'm bigoted towards anything else.
I'm not even an atheist so much as I am an antitheist; I not only maintain that all religions are versions of the same untruth, but I hold that the influence of churches, and the effect of religious belief, is positively harmful. [Christopher Hitchens]

I'm guessing is more accurate. As I said before, you sound like legion teenage boys struggling with loneliness and rejection, who find comfort trying to shock on the internet by making comments such as "Religion? Oh, you mean believing in something imaginary".

You want to be insulting to something that a large proportion of the worlds population hold more important to themselves than anything else, then at least try to be funny / clever about it. But since your motivation seems to be simply to cause the most upset you can, you'll probably find you can get more of a reaction by being highly racist, talking about enjoying harming pets, or something like that.

And that makes it alright does it?

The phrase "hate speech" is over-used PC codswallop most of the time, but it seems to me that hate speech towards any segment of the community is pretty disgusting behaviour. If you talked about blacks or gays the same way you talk about people who have a particular religious outlook, you'd be given very short shrift. Hate is hate. The venom and vitriol you exhibit over religion indicates that you're a pretty unpleasant person - Ticktock's depiction of you as 14 year old troll seems a fairly apt description. In another age, you'd be joining in the gay bashing.

Now, I really hope you're not like that - but this is the impression you are giving.

As I said I was asking the question not making assumptions. i agree that you should question whether it would make any difference. Maybe they should negotiate and find out under what circumstances they would be allowed to live on equal terms as all other Burmese.

People cjoose their religious outlook and their religion is not based on any logic or reality. It is a superstition. being black or gay is not brought about through choice. just because someone holds extreme views based upon religion does not put them above being challenged.

I don't know I seem to be getting a reaction from you without trying too hard.

I have strong opinions on quite a few things; I oppose the death penalty, I'm a staunch republican, I favour our membership of the EU, but I don't think badly of people who disagree with these views. However, as I have already said on this thread, I have nothing but contempt for religious people.

Intolerant, bigoted and unpleasant? Yes, I guess I am on this subject.
