If it is not true why do so many people want to come and live here?

They are indoctrinated from a young age about the UK and how great it is including such great things as the BBC World Service, which they can listen to in their bedroom, and the Police. People are even excited by watching EastEnders for f***sake, they then arrive here and are surprised by damp/mould in their rented properties.

Yes it is a good place to live but if you didn't have the immigration you wouldn't have the boom in IT or Finance. There is no doubt there is no better place in Europe than the UK when it comes to the IT industry or banking.

Would would want to go and live in Saxony ? This is a place in Germany with a declining population. In a typical small town in Saxony there are no shops, no cafes, no nightlife, an hours drive to the nearest hospital and an hour's drive to the nearest school, the internet only works in the small hours of the morning because there's no broadband and above all no jobs.

I think you'll find that if Nigel Farage were to come into Government, that immigration levels wouldn't change very much, in the same way that current Tory government haven't actually succeeded in reducing immigration in spite of their promise and even ending their term in government with the biggest increase in immigrants. That's because of the reality of keeping the Nr 64 to Tooting on the road.

Funny thing is that most of the people voting UKIP aren't in areas of "high" immigration anyway.

UKIP has very little support in London - you know the place where you can get on a train carriage and not hear anyone speak English. (Ignoring the fact that most people who tend to speak on commuter trains are at either ends of the age spectrum and talk tulip so having them talk in another language is an advantage.)

If you are so determined to argue at what a terrible place the UK is then why dont you p**s off and live somewhere else?

I think you will find that Farage will ensure that we carefully select who we bring in. If Farage had been in govt in 2004 then very few eastern europeans would have arrived and that immigration from outside the EU would have been curtailed

Errrmm perhaps the lack of English people in London and the below average UKIP support might just be more than a coincidence/

One of the most densely populated countries in Europe is the Netherlands but is not exactly an unpleasant place to live, in fact it's rather nice place to live. Very popular destination for contractors.

The UK is not particularly highly populated, it is comparable with Germany or Switzerland even after all the immigration in the 2000's. Guernsey and Jersey have a much higher population density than the UK, but yet they're still popular holiday destinations. It also has a lower population density than Japan.

The Netherlands work pretty well in spite of having almost double the population density of the UK. Jersey has almost three times the population, and should be "bursting to the seams". It's therefore unlikely that immigration in the UK will actually cause in any problems in the forseeable future.

Yes but you'll find the area of West Germany stretching from Cologne to Stuttgart is basically where the bulk of the population exists and is more densely populated than England.

Whereas you might argue Scotland is somewhat remote, Wales is more or less in the "middle of England" accessible to a huge a population in the West and North West and is largely empty.

Living in a densely populated region is perfectly normal and acceptable if you have a remoter region on your doorstep.

There is no difference between Germany and England or indeed Switzerland where the bulk of the population lives in a relatively small area. Most of the Swiss population live in an area between Zürich and Basel, and is very highly densely populated.
