That's a good point, but I think people probably accept that FPTP means it's the number of seats that count. My point was that with people having to be encouraged to register, and the general disillusionment with politics, it's not going to be good if it appears that the government is chosen by a back room deal between the political elite rather than by the election result, no matter what the law says and the reality of the situation.Originally posted by TheFaQQer View PostMost votes or most seats?
If Labour get the most votes, but less seats then should Cameron resign? If it's the other way round, should Labour concede defeat? Will work inside IR35. Or for food.Comment

I don't think that is as impossible as some might think, although it could kill off one of them for good.Originally posted by DodgyAgent View PostIt is simple Labour - Tory coalition
Labour have already lost Scotland with their partnership with the Tories in 'Better Together' so a Tory/labour coalition might kill them off in England too, except for England's inability to actually vote a government in

If the Queen Speech is voted down, you can be damned sure a vote of no confidence would follow in very short order.Blog? What blog...?

Labour won't die in England, as their core vote is chavs, immigrants and thickos they won't be running out of voters anytime soon, even if some of them have joined UKIPOriginally posted by TestMangler View PostI don't think that is as impossible as some might think, although it could kill off one of them for good.

Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.
No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.Comment

If someone had said ten years ago that Labour would die in Scotland, they'd have been laughed out the door.Originally posted by MicrosoftBob View PostLabour won't die in England, as their core vote is chavs, immigrants and thickos they won't be running out of voters anytime soon, even if some of them have joined UKIP
They have exactly the same core vote here, but they managed to lose it. They could have pinned a red rosette to a rabid rape-monkey up here and got it voted in comfortably. When freedom comes along, don't PISH in the water supply.....Comment
