Blimey I thought I was right wing but I draw the line at machine gunning the lifeboats.
yes we should land the boats back on the Libyan coast and blow up / impound the boats.
No we shouldn't hurt them, they are probably better people than us.
Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.
It's a mess, on one hand there are genuine refugees flying the situation in Libya, but how do you tell those from ISIS supporters posing as refuges wanting a one way ticket to Europe to either stage terrorist attacks or act as sleeper cells ?
It's easy: the former are the ones in the boats; the latter are the ones that only exist in UKIP's imagination.
All that campaigning about "freedom" from the evil whiteys.
Then 40 or 50 years later, immigrating into whitey land is sooooo attractive.
Wonder what the situation is like in the African countries that have been all but colonised by the Chinese? Are they all running from those places too or has the quality of life improved there?
Maybe in the long term we should review the ridiculous way we are spending foreign aid and charity money that often boosts the population of these nations with little effect in GDP.
The main focus should be on improving commerce and trade in these countries, helping them produce the low cost items that are no longer economic for us to produce, while at the same time increasing use of technology in our own country instead of using low skilled migrants. Economies that complement each other rather than compete with each other makes a lot more sense
Feeling sorry for big bellied kids is understandable but the pragmatic approach adopted by the Chinese in recent decades, providing real investment rather than mosquito nets in return for raw materials, has done much more for Africa and its future kids than we have.
No matter how vile your opinions, there'll always be some who'll agree with you. Another way for the talentless to make money - until the public get sick of her.
I agree with MF Does that make me a cretin?
Let us not forget EU open doors immigration benefits IT contractors more than anyone
