My theory being that if you don't express an opinion when it might matter, you forfeit the right to express an opinion any other time. My in-laws never vote because they don't know enough to vote one way or the other - but they never moan about how things are run because they accept that they had the chance to influence and did nothing with it.Comment

I've always voted but have never had a winning candidate due to the mining area in West Lothian voting for any old monkey with a red rosette.
I've been helping out my local SNP candidate Hannah Bardell. I think she's got a great chance of unseating the incumbent Labour layabout Graeme Morrice who took over on the death of Robin Cook.

Our Tory MP who's been there since the Thatcher days is retiring, but I doubt that makes any difference and whoever the replacement Tory is will still walk it.
I might vote for them, or maybe vote LibDem as a little bit of a joke/protest vote. Will work inside IR35. Or for food.Comment

Who are the SNP's election candidates? | Politics | The GuardianSocialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.
No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.Comment
