How ill do you have to be to pull a contractor sickie?
Pulling a sickie implies you don't have to be ill at all.
Taking a day off through illness - it depends on the nature of the illness, where I am working, and whether I feel like working through it or not.
I have no qualms about taking a day off when I'm not well enough to work - when I was really ill, I had six weeks off and lost the contract. Could I have worked through it? Absolutely not. If I'd been working at home then I'd have probably managed the last two weeks of my time off, but nothing other than that.

After a week off in Spain where I felt rough all week back at client today still feeling semi-rough. But since I'm COTBAC Im here. I wouldnt be if I was permie!
Unfortunately, WFH not an option at this client or I'd have pulled that one.
Whats the worse you've been and still turned up?
In the past, I did turn up once having a really bad dose of the squits - probably spent at least 40% of the day in the 'trap'.
I was always jokingly say I'd have to be bleeding from the eyeballs not to turn up. :-)
On a serious note, there must come a point where you're potentially making yourself even worse risking longer time off or just not being able to perform at client site.
Mate of mine (teacher not contractor) showed up to work for weeks when he was ill - ended up in hospital with pneumonia. Not cool. Especiually since hes a teacher and could have pulled an easy sickie.
If you're working in the City, you're fit for work if you can crawl to your desk.

I once got knocked over on a pedestrian crossing, breaking two dozen bones and died on the way to hospital. I still made it in the next morning albeit an hour late which I worked overtime to make it up.
