Originally posted by vetran View Postwe need to deal with each issue there may well be 1000 issues with the NHS and each is 0.1% of the NHS budget and we solve half of them its 50% of the total budget.
2/3 of NHS "clients" are over 65, that was not the case when it started since 65 was possibly your innings then.
And that is why it needs complete reform.
To be fair Farage did say that in a speech in 2012 but did an about turn when he realised it was costing him votes among the cretins who vote for him.
So now he picks on irrelevant issues that have been correctly described as "dogwhistle".

It's just the irony of making anti-immigrant statements when you are married to one.
Problem is you need a certain level of intelligence to appreciate irony.Last edited by Euler; 7 April 2015, 15:12.Are you a loser?

If you are relying on Figure 7 from the PHE document you linked above for your 'half of infections', note that this was for heterosexual transmission only. You also need to look at the largest (and growing) single group, men who have sex with men, coyly refrered to as MSM. In this group the ratio is about 4:1 UK to abroad. My subconscious is annoying. It's got a mind of its own.Comment

You don't need intelligence to make pathetic personal attacks. Sad to see you don't understand that yet.Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.Comment

HIV Testing Requirements for Entry Into Foreign Countries - TheBody.com
The US has lifted a 22-year immigration ban which has stopped anyone with HIV/Aids from entering the country. President Obama said the ban was not compatible with US plans to be a leader in the fight against the disease. The new rules come into force on Monday and the US plans to host a global HIV/Aids summit for the first time in 2012. The ban was imposed at the height of a global panic about the disease at the end of the 1980s.
It put the US in a group of just 12 countries, also including Libya and Saudi Arabia, that excluded anyone suffering from HIV/Aids. The BBC's Charles Scanlon, in Miami, says that improving treatments and evolving public perceptions have helped to bring about the change. Rachel Tiven, head of the campaign group Immigration Equality, told the BBC that the step was long overdue. "The 2012 World Aids Conference, due to be held in the United States, was in jeopardy as a result of the restrictions. It's now likely to go ahead as planned," she said. In October, President Obama said the entry ban had been "rooted in fear rather than fact". He said: "We lead the world when it comes to helping stem the Aids pandemic - yet we are one of only a dozen countries that still bar people with HIV from entering our own country."My subconscious is annoying. It's got a mind of its own.Comment

so even if it only accounts for one sixth of infections its still very high. Surely Infection in the hetrosexual community is more worrying if you are thinking of epidemics as there are 2% Homosexual or Bi men and a lot more that are hetrosexual.Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.Comment

I merely made some general statements about intelligence.
My comment was referring to Nigel.
