Yes but lets not forget that the countries pushing hardest for it were those like France, which had a habit of monetising their debts.

      Precisely.
Logic failure for the poster who started this thread.
In any case the UK now has full employment, which suggests those Euro incomers are needed.
      Are you a loser?
Didn't do too well at school?
Can't make it in the most dynamic economy in Europe?

Probably. But don't worry, the SNP will save it.

Whether its the Tories of Labour or the SNP - all the major political parties have one common aim - Managing Capitalism.

There are shades of difference between their macro-economic policies - does anyone remember a thread I posted a couple of elections back whereby in a future election - you voted not for the Tories or Labour etc - but rather Natwest, Royal Bank of Scotland , Santander etc all managing Capitalism but offering small differences in their Rate of Interest on savings - mortgages etc and of course behind the scenes running the show - the Jolly Bank of England who you couldn't actually vote for.

I don't know about you but I would rather vote for a Bank than a so called Political Party .

Remember Boys and Girls No matter whom you vote for the Government always gets in.

I'd agree with that. Sold out long, long ago to the Corporate interests. But apparently you have to vote to Tory to keep the evil Miliband out.

What do the esteemed CUKers think?
What has Dave personally gained by selling out? Do you think he's getting envelopes of cash under the table? Or perhaps he equates corporate interests as being good for the country... companies in the UK boosts the UK economy.

Yep DH - fair point and quite right Old Dave is simply managing the vested interests of Capitalism - that's his responsibility as a Prime Minister and what the UK Political Parties are there for.

And if you don't like Capitalism then I suggest you immigrate to the communist utopia of Cuba or North Korea. Amen.

When I became prime minister in 2010, Britain was on the brink. We had a budget deficit forecast to be bigger than Greece’s, and we needed to take responsibility. RH David Cameron Prime Minister

Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

They've had one hand tied behind their back for the whole parliament due to constant pussy-whipping from Clegg and the Lib Dems.

They make policies to appeal to the average Daily Mail reader in order to win votes. Unfortunately, the majority of the readership of said rag are also a bunch of total c0ckwombles.
