A long time ago, back in my early contracting days, I had the pleasure of working with this proper 'saffer', complete with Dutch diamond mine heritage.
On his first day, there was a team of us sitting having lunch and one girl was fascinated to hear first hand from this bloke, what South Africa was like. He preceded to explain and then went on to describe the family home, saying that his family had a lot of dogs. This girl asked if his family bred dogs, to which he replied, "No, it was to keep the f*****g n*****s out of the grounds". Cue an onslaught of food being coughed/spat all over the table. Some in righteous indignation, some of it in amazed hilarity.
Still makes me laugh, just thinking about it.
