Just ask those who have had to give away some of their wealth which was given to them by their parents or inherited from another family member to their ex-partner, even though that partner wasn't on the scene.

    Mmm... yes.

Even with the woman who was told to go and get a job some lawyers have gone on the media and have said it doesn't set a precedent due to the particular circumstances. This is simply because the rest of us who have less asserts are expected to go and get a job especially if we claim benefits. If the guy hadn't been retiring then maybe it would have.

Considering how hard the female judges have had to work to get there it's not surprising including dealing with the attitudes of older male judges.

A very US point of view. In many US states if you don't pay your maintenance you don't get to see your child.

Of course the male judges got their appointment letters in cornflakes boxes.

The older ones got it via their mates.

The only reason there was a woman president of the family division was because she covered up for a judge who abused children - her husband. Clearly one who fitted in with the establishment model.

Interestingly they tried to make her head of the yewtree child abuse inquiry!

That reminds me I need to update the abuse thread.

The only reason the judges let it though was because technically there was no ancillary relief setup.

The times is calling for a family court revolution - its a decision that only benefits lawyers.

Though as the family court is beyond control it will make no difference.

Dale Vince faces £2m divorce payout to ex-wife claims she has a comfortable life | Daily Mail Online

Speaking on BBC Radio 4's Today programme, Mr Dale said that his ex-wife was simply 'cashing in on a very old lottery ticket'.

'There has been such a great passing of time. Our relationship ended 32 years ago which is an incredible passing of time,' he said.
Kathleen Wyatt's children have said they will be made 'homeless' if she loses her case to claim - and are backing her fight for the money.

Her daughter Jessie, 18, said: 'Mum told me the night before the court case that she was doing it for women power.

'She thinks all men are the same. I have seen my mum struggling for years and she is the best mum in the world.

'I think she is a hero, I really do. I cannot believe she brought up four kids on her own without any help - and we haven't been easy kids either.'

Ms Wyatt was a single-mother-of-one when she met penniless traveller Dale and married 1981 before having their only child Dane, now 31, in 1983 and separated the following year.

They divorced in 1992 and Kathleen went on to have another two children during a brief romance with another man who left soon after the children were born.

Ms Wyatt now lives with her unemployed son Robin Wyatt, 21, her unemployed daughter Jessie Wyatt, 18, her jobless boyfriend Ashley Lloyd, 24, and their three-month-old daughter Scarlett in a former council house.

Her child with Dale, Dane Vincent, left home at 18 to live with his father after his eco-business took off but still has contact with his mother.

Kathy's eldest child Emily Wyatt, 36, was jailed last year for burglary and is in Eastwood Park Prison in Gloucester. Prostitute Emily was jailed for two-and-a-half years at Gloucester Crown Court in January 2014 after a judge heard she had tricked one of her clients into leaving his flat so she could break-in and steal his television.

Days earlier, she stole £40 and a CD off another client who had refused to pay her.

Her children are 18+! They learn to stop being spongers. Get a job. Stop whining. Only 1 of her 4 kids is by the bloke anyway.

As for "women power", this woman wants "men power" where women do nothing but support the men. The accepting of this case by the family courts has put feminism back to the 1960s.

She needs to get a job and try doing some work. Plenty of other hard working women do it. I am all in favour of women(or men) who give up careers to look after children or households being compensated upon divorce.

This women is as much for girl power as the spice girls. Now tell us - what is it women want? Oh yes - a zig-a-zig-ahh....

Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.
