And I'll just finish my week with a......

    BOOM!!!!

I normally finish early on a Friday, and always have a bit of a catch up session with my client before I leave.

He's just told me of a project they've just won in Chicago starting in April, and would I be open to running it with trips over there once a month for the forseeable.

Let me think about that for a.. HELL YEAH!!!!!

p.s. I had a couple of days this week where I thought contracting sucked. I'm happy to report normality has been restored

Have a great weekend, I got a load of bananas to get through...

You don't need a visa for business trips.

Not to attend meetings / conferences you don't. If they believe that you are performing work then you might. I had a contract where myself and another trainer went out to the US to deliver training twice, he went back out twice more over the next couple of months and had immigration grilling him.

I always say "I'm here for meetings with the US office" - he said "I'm here to deliver training".

                  Spot on. They also like:

"I'm here to receive training at the US office"

i.e. I'm a dumb foreigner, you Yanks are clever, let me in.
