The Madonna with the big boobies?I'm not even an atheist so much as I am an antitheist; I not only maintain that all religions are versions of the same untruth, but I hold that the influence of churches, and the effect of religious belief, is positively harmful. [Christopher Hitchens] -
Not in the UK house no, however over in Spain we have one which always has our passports in and the surplus cash (don't entirely trust Spanish banks with all our money just yet), we are a cave house so there is really only one way in, the windows have bars over them (decorative rather than security) and a front door made of solid oak which is good as the wine cellar only has a cheapo lock on it to deter the builders when we were having it refurnished
It always made me giggle knowing that he Earl of Bath (he of Longleat fame) loved the show that much he had a copy of the paiting produced and hung up among Old Masters worth millions!Originally posted by GlenW View PostThe Madonna with the big boobies?Originally posted by Stevie Wonder BoyI can't see any way to do it can you please advise?

my sister-in-laws flat burnt to the ground about 20 years ago in new jersey - caused by faulty wiring. thankfully she was at work at the time though she lost everything in the blaze.
my sisters house burnt to the ground about 15 years ago in bergerac - caused by lunatic boyfriend arson attack. thankfully she escaped the fire but lost everything.
my grandmothers house was ruined by fire about 7 years ago after the neighbour set fire to their roof whilst re-felting his. thankfully she escaped unharmed though the roof was destroyed and the internals were heavily water damaged by the fire brigade. the neighbour never even apologised. unbelievable.
so, yes - we have a safe (and a number of smoke alarms) and if you don't you're bonkers.Comment

I have a fire safe for data backups that sits on a shelf. That's all.
It also has the passports in.
However it is not bolted down to anything and has the key in the lock so really you could just unlock it or walk off with it.
I also have another data backup off site at my parents.
Apart from that I only have a 5k watch that I keep in a shoebox.Comment
