      400 years isn't that bad for a religious organisation where there is significant debate about whether the basic founding document forbids it or not.

      Significantly quicker than the Catholic church, for example.

                  Not 100% happy about it, TBH. But on the plus side, she's bound to be far more capable than an early 20th century Bishop of Exeter whose potted biography I read over the weekend, Lord Rupert Ernest William Gascoyne-Cecil.

                  A lovable guy by all accounts, but completely out of his depth and stories of his eccentricity are legion. I suspect his family may have partly inspired the D'Ascoyne family in that classic film Kind Hearts and Coronets (1949), with the doddery vicar based on Lord William.
