I'm not even an atheist so much as I am an antitheist; I not only maintain that all religions are versions of the same untruth, but I hold that the influence of churches, and the effect of religious belief, is positively harmful. [Christopher Hitchens] -

MF PM'd me. We had a call. I sent my CV to him.
MF asked me to completely rewrite my CV, in a completely different format. I went to do this, then felt that if I was not a fit, being me then maybe it wouldn't work and we had identified something early on.
I emailed MF and politely declined to completely rewrite my CV, explaining my reasons.
MF called me, his voice peeved and dripping with venom. Apparently he had told his hiring manager in the states what I had said, and put the poison in big time.
To MFs surprise, the guy in the states actually liked my response and thought there was mileage in at least having a chat. Maybe just to see what kind of character says no to MF.
So we exchanged emails and agreed on 3pm German time. I booked a meeting room at client co, and went in there 2:55. And waited.................
In the end, I had to go back to my desk. I did, and when I got there the phone rang. It was the guy. Very late. But the client was talking to me and I couldn't break away to answer the call in time. I got an email immediately from the guy. Friendly enough, said to drop him an email when I was ready. I emailed straight back, apologising for not being able to grab his call and said if he called back I would take it and we could resume.
The call never came. There were no further emails.
I got a snotty PM from MF saying I had pissed him off by not turning up for my interview that he had set up.
I replied to his PM politely explaining what happened.
MF has never let it go ever since.
I would not normally have aired this on the board, but MS rather forced my hand by starting this thread.Knock first as I might be balancing my chakras.Comment

So MF, what was wrong with his CV? Assuming Suity was being honest about his skills and exp in the original, why did you think you could fit a square peg into a round hole?Comment

Sounded like a possibility for some entertainment - didn't realise it was a sore point.Comment
