and only the other day wasn't Aberdeen voted the dreariest dump in Scotland?

It never rains but it pours (in Aberdeen no doubt)

I've been at the same Oil co since Jan last year. Only have 2 months left on current contract. Not expecting a renewal this time but hoping to see the last of it out.

It is a bit of a dump, very depression grey granite mixed with 70s architectural brutalism. The future for Aberdeen is very bleak.

I was ditched at the end of December and have not had a sniff since. Bad times. Word on the grapevine is that there is yet more to come in March from the big contractor companies.

Minestrone you are correct, the city is stooped in decline. Union street is an absolute disgrace. Trees growing out of chimneys, betting shop after betting shop, boarded up windows. Unfortunately it seems that any effort made by the council to improve things will be too little too late.

I know some people working Middle East, projects cancelled etc.

In the ME it's usually 100% rate cut.
              Fiscal nomad it's legal.

I've never quite understood how a city that generates so much money for the country can be one of the worst. Well the people of Aberdeen had their chance to change with a Yes vote and bottled it at the last minute.

How would a yes vote have changed anything?

They would only have themselves to blame for being in the sh1t and not have to spend so much time blaming us.

Would have made UK a better place to live. You don't miss the Scots or Welsh, do you?
