The worst airport for crosswinds. When I did a gig in Germany, I used the airport probably only thrice before I decided to fly from/into Manchester. I almost tulip in my pants once when the plane landed at an angle of 40 degrees with the runway.

Must have been the time of year I used it, but it was often foggy for me.
A typical flight from Heathrow would be "delayed due to fog" and then "right we can go now".
It was very rarely late. They'd got landing in fog pretty well sussed.
It was a different story going the other way, when more often or not we'd get put in a holding pattern on our way into Heathrow.Behold the warranty -- the bold print giveth and the fine print taketh away.Comment
