How can you take it onto even an A road then - if it can't even do 60 mph?
In the same way as the b'stard in a JCB on the inside lane of the A1 this morning. 4 miles of tail backs trying to overtake the bugger while he was crawling along at 30 mph

I'm exempt anyway. I never need to drive there (nor does 99% of the population). I think that in 30 years of adulthood (most of it living in the Home counties) I have driven into Central London just twice, both times on a weekend day. And that part of the 99% of the populatuion who CHOOSES to drive into London isn't likely to be the sort of person that would drive around in an electric pram.
It's far from free for me: I dread to think how much it wold cost to have power put into my 'in block' garage and the idea of lugging god knows how many cwt of batteries up a flight of stairs every day to recharge them just doesn't appeal.
You guys. You just don't see the future of motoring. In a few yrs any car that doesn't look or drive like this one will be deemed illegal by the government on environmental, "fairness" and safety reasons (any car travelling at > 40 mph will be deemed dangerous).
