True. We all need a break sometimes.Originally posted by scooterscot View PostThey are. They've offered Monthly flights, all business. Like that matters. Time away from family is more important.
Practically perfect in every way....there's a time and (more importantly) a place for malarkey.

I did about 9 months back in 2003 as a permie but that was 2.5 weeks out 1.5 weeks WFH. How long will you get to WFH on each trip back?Originally posted by scooterscot View PostThey are. Whims too.Originally posted by scooterscot View PostIts an oil & gas client, pockets deeper than a abyssal trench.
And don't forget, you'll be a permie. You may or may not get the required visa. I assume you'll be looking for an H1B? There's an annual cap that evaporates quickly so, unless it's an exempt organisation (which it wouldn't be), you may not get the visa. Did I mention you'll be a permie? Also, unless you're familiar with the US, oil and gas in particular, you'll have a culture shock awaiting.
Best to work this as a B2B relationship from wherever you're based now. If they're not interested, it's probably not worth considering.Comment

Just reading the small print... the B2B relationship is my preferred route. But perhaps I could be a permie for one year with conditions like these...
1. Sign-on Bonus.
XXX agrees to pay Candidate a one-time Conditional Sign-On Bonus of $45,000 (“Bonus”), subject to all required taxes and withholdings, to be paid within thirty (30) days after Candidate’s first day of work(Starting date).
2. First Retention Bonus.
If employee maintains sound report record for his/her duties activities till the end of the contract, he/ she will receive the sum of $200,000 as first retention bonus.
3. Employee will receive the sum of $20,011 for six weeks annul holidays per year, and first class ticket to visit home for FIFO"Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience". Mark TwainComment
