    When other nations have several parties and none in overall control the governments are always described as weak. Actually, it could be the nearest we get to a real democracy, they will have to compromise and take account of varying opinions.

    Better still if we had secret votes in the commons, all parties were banned and parliaments were made up of independents with a mandate to press for the aims in their manifestos.

    PS It would be really great if The Monster Raving Loony Party got a few seats and held the balance of power. Can't be dafter than the "Green", AKA Public Sector Privilege Party anyway.

      All of the polls during the Referendum and previous GEs are of a similar amount of people. IpsoMori were so shocked by the result that they reran it with a different set of people and got the result above again.

      The Times have a different poll this morning with a similar result.
