If it is similar to Once then i will definitely watch it.Originally posted by stek View PostBeen a while since we had one of these, two spring to mind for this year for me;
Locke:
A classic in my view, one mans car journey with one camera down the M1, as his life falls apart without actually seeing any of it on screen. Funny to see the Yanks complain in the reviews on IMDB, 'this is tulip, cost $50 to make' etc. Class Film.
Rudderless:
Watching it now, bit like 2006's Once in a way, man and music and making it happen...
Locke is also on my watch list.
Recently saw: A most wanted man - excellent movie.Comment

Just goes to show, I was about to dis-recommend Most Wanted Man. Went along on the basis that it had a lot of the elements of 'Tinker Tailor' which I absolutely loved, but for me it was little more than a series of derivative spy-thriller cliches strung together, with none of the atmosphere, period detail or understated performances of TTSS.Originally posted by moggy View PostIf it is similar to Once then i will definitely watch it.

Philip Seymour-Hofmann was no better than 'Okay' as the standard 'maverick anti-authority operative with issues' character.My subconscious is annoying. It's got a mind of its own.Comment

I struggled with the book, probably because I disliked the protagonist too much. Sounds like Ben Affleck is a good fit for the role. Twat that he is.Originally posted by SimonMac View PostGone Girl was really good even if it had Ben Affleck in itPractically perfect in every way....there's a time and (more importantly) a place for malarkey.

I'd lost interest by the end more or less, and found it a bit too ridiculous to take seriouslyOriginally posted by SimonMac View PostThe film has a different endingPractically perfect in every way....there's a time and (more importantly) a place for malarkey.

Also I didn't think muich of Locke either.Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.
I preferred version 1!Comment
