Well at least American gun laws will allow residents to take the fight to the virus.

Anyone know - If you've had it, and recovered, are you then immune?

Is someone immune to Ebola once they've had it?
Ebola is a relatively rare disease, and when outbreaks have occurred in the past they’ve been limited both in scope and in case numbers. Many people die of the disease once they get it. So, there’s not much information about people who have had the virus, survived, and then were re-exposed to it.

When asked about it on their Facebook page, the World Health Organization said that someone who recovers from Ebola is “in all likelihood” immune to the strain that they had. (There are four different strains of Ebola that can infect humans.) The US CDC, in an interview, said that an infected person's body develops antibodies to the strain of Ebola they were infected with.

But it's uncertain how long that immunity lasts and whether they person would also be immune to the other three strains of Ebola that are known to infect humans. In the current outbreak, only one viral strain is known to be circulating in West Africa: the Zaire strain. A different strain has caused a concurrent, but unrelated, outbreak of Ebola in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
