Almost certainly not - but I will think about it. A few reasons :-Originally posted by norrahe View PostSo BP, are you going to sign up as well???????
1. It is seriously tough - pain is inevitable(even if suffering is optional). Have you seen the way these guys train? Sharp stones in the socks before running. I don't mind losing toenails, but this is well hardcore.
2. I don't like events abroad. Partly as I have little money. My comments about going bankrupt on s58 are not a joke.
3. My best discipline is cycling, then swimming, then running. I have recently learned to run properly (yes really!) but it still takes it out on the knees. I have had keyhole twice on the right and once on the left. On the right, the next time the cartilage goes it requires breaking the knee in half and rebuilding!
That's a 13 week recovery time.
At the moment I am learning to swim and cycle properly - then I'm going to do something at enduroman in June. After that I might do some long swims, or maybe just a few IM while I think.
Hats off to Minestrone - even to be thinking of attempting this is amazing. I think you deserve a hell of alot of credit for this. I just hope you keep us updated with training.Comment

Brillo, in 15 months you can get one...

Over the last 12 months I have became a dad and ran the MDS. Running the MDS was easier. When people say running the MDS is hard it ain't. OK day 4 was hard.
Graham Souness when playing for Liverpool was asked once if he though the game that day would be stressful, he replied "not being able to pay your mortgage is stressful"Comment

It was nicer than that one.Last edited by mudskipper; 14 December 2014, 22:42.Comment
