The vote was clear and no amount of bluster and obfuscation will change the result. Out of 3.6m votes cast a bit under 400,000 more NO votes were cast than YES.

Frankly I don't give much of a damn what the fallout is in Westminster.
Anyone boneheaded enough to have believed those 3 muppets saying one thing without a mandate from the Westminster Parliament deserves to be sold shares in my project to re-locate Tower Bridge to Disneyland.
    Fair enough.

We'll just carry on doing what we're doing and see where we end up

The idea that Scottish devolution gets blocked in Westminster because of a scrap over English voting issues is SNP wishful thinking. If the conservatives get in there will be English votes on English issues if labour gets in there won't be.

I'm afraid Scotland are in the Union for the longhaul.

The NO voters are not the ones doing the bitching.

The timetable said the new Scotland bill would be published by Burns' night in January before the GE so we should know what we are getting. The 2nd reading would be immediately after the GE.

Any delay to that timetable will see pressure for another referendum. Labour will lose half their seats in Scotland and theTories will lose some of theirs in England to UKIP. The union is finished.

Lose them to who? The SNP?

              Pro-indy parties, yes.

SNP now have 72,448 members, up from 26,000 on referendum day. Many of those were Labour members and card carrying union members.

A lot of the MPs only have a couple of thousand majorities so if all those pro-indy supporters turn out in large numbers again but the No voters go back to the normal 48% GE turnout then it's easy to see what can happen. The pro-indy parties will agree not to stand against each other so we only have one party to vote for. Tommy Sheridan is already telling his supporters to vote SNP.

The Scotland Act is clearly on its way. The English question is separate.

It is highly highly unlikely that any Scot living today will ever see independence.

So I now suggest we celebrate the Union, all join together and sing "God save the Queen".

The scottish socialist party has 1.6 million votes? Having your cause supported by an idiot like him is hardly a ringing endorsement for anything that you can feel proud of is it?
