Perhaps. But at a philosophical level, one of the core original visions of the EU (and various former names) was to build unity and consensus, breaking down nationalism and national boundaries in Europe. I guess an outbreak of secession isn't what they're looking for so there may be a bumpy ride.

You keep making things up as you go along. The UK is part of the EU, Scotland is possibly leaving the UK, therefore if it wishes to be part of the EU it will have to apply. The rUK isn't leaving anything. We shall continue our membership until we decide to leave.

You need to listen rather than act like a belligerent child.

The French, Italians etc. will also find it unacceptable for Scotland to keep the rebate.

We will get in, but it will be on the terms of several other members of the EU. It will not be quick.
This is all speculation, no one knows how long it will take so it's pointless basing any decision on that, in any case if you vote No you will probably be out of EU when UK vote to exit.

...especially given that the EU grew out of the Second World War as a means of breaking down boundaries, not creating them.

              That's my opinion.

Independence is a gateway to a new World not the destination.

Nah. If I had a vote, I would vote "No" but bet "Yes". That way I'd have at least one win.

I thought you said it'd just be a couple of signatures?
