              I meant that any poll asking "would you prefer to be better off?", a large majority would vote yes.

              People voting in a GE relying on lies spouted by politicians is a different thing altogether

                So the circle is complete. Politicians are self serving, saying what they please to get them in power. But a referendum does not come about very often.

                People have to vote for the lesser of the two evils. Consider that and the fog clears away quite quickly.
