and what about their market, do we have access to it?
not a hope in hell.
If it was a two way street, then few would complain, as it is they are taking the food from our table.
even within europe its not equal, you often see companies/countries specifying their own language as compulsory, thinly veiled protectionism, that we cant even applyLast edited by mrdonuts; 5 August 2014, 19:30.Comment

Certainly i dont think you are allowed to discuss their work ethic/capabilities/legitimacy of alleged experience or qualifications , well maybe you can say something positive, but any negative opinions however well founded = doubtful. sad really

You really do get what you pay for.
So I see no issue with the cheapness of offshoring, but I have big issues when the offshore resources then want to play on the ignorance of PMs and cost up solutions with eye watering costs and durations, when it would take a decent guy a third of the time and way less conf calls and emails. Shocking sometimes.Don't believe it, until you see it!Comment

The issue is not offshoring, it is shipping in non EU cheap resource under the bogus justification of skills shortages.Comment

Or do you expect the whole of Europe to speak English? And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014Comment

Originally posted by Mich the Tester View PostThis is true, but seeing as most on this site will have had the opportunity to learn French, German and in many cases Spanish at school, the French, Spanish, German, Austrian and Swiss markets must surely be quite accessible? That's a market of about 210 million people, with real skills shortages in specialist areas of IT, so there should be plenty of jobs.
Or do you expect the whole of Europe to speak English?
Either that or the UK comes out of the EU and then lets see how happy the rest of Europe is with the cheap romanians coming in and stealing their jobs
I heard a few were great testers....Comment
