America should force Saudi to take Syrian refugees.

      Not much Arab Brotherhood there.

Saudi Arabia does take in Syrian refugees but doesn't label them refugees.

Anyway would you as a refugee rather go to Turkey, Lebanon or Saudi Arabia? Two where you would be allowed to follow a more liberal version of your religion or one where you have to follow Wahhabism. <shudders>

Well they've got 3 million empty air conditioned tents that could be used
Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

We have to challenge this notion that being productive is somehow a good thing.

A Frenchman is more productive than an Englishman. What does this mean? The Frenchman produces more "value" for his boss than the Englishman.

Or to put it in other words. He works harder. He doesn't get paid more. And the 10% of his Countrymen who are unemployed don't produce anything at all.

So we're unproductive. At least we have jobs and we can p*ss around in meetings all day.

I blame CUK for at least part of the problem.

              No it means -

Companies on French employ employ less workers as it costs more and is harder to sack them.

Companies in the UK employ more workers as it costs less and they don't have to be permanent employees. Many of these workers do a few hours here and there, and many of these companies are smaller.

So a French retailer in France would look more productive as they employ 1 person to do a job for 35 hours there as in the UK you would employ 3.

Where you have lots of cheap labour you don't need to be productive, or pay them more.

In a market without growth this drives down pay rates.

That's one of the issues argued to cause it like the one I pointed out.

Another is refusal of business owners to invest in their business as they rely on the domestic economy to buy their products and their ultimate aim is to sell their business on as soon as possible. If you are an exporter you tend to have a more highly skilled and so better paid workforce.

                    N. Korea warns of 'pre-emptive' strike against South, U.S.

We "are ready to immediately and mercilessly punish without slightest leniency, tolerance and patience anyone provoking the dignified supreme headquarters even a bit," the Supreme Command of the Korean People's Army said in an English statement carried by the Korean Central Agency.
