A more important question is since when does a supplier have an exit interview with HR when leaving a completed contract.
I've had it a few times with IT support or security to confirm I have returned the equipment that had been supplied to me but HR...
Here is a hint Suity.. If you are dealing with anyone from the HR department you are under control....
I got an email from clientco's HR idiots asking me to fill in some web form before a yearly review, to 'assess how employees can be helped to perform even better bla bla...'. Some contractors filled it in; it found its way to my 'Deleted Items' very quickly.
To all HR numpties; I have one yearly review and it's about one performance indicator; how much money is in my bank account.

You were asked to attend an exit interview with HR and actually attended it. HR gave you a direction (please attend this Exit interview) and you followed the direction by attending it.
If that isn't direction and control nothing is......
