On a similar note, just got my contract through for my next job. It states 300 a hour rather than day. Fab! Wonder if i sign it can i hold them to it

This thing tells a lot about the "serious business" of some agencies...FFS with all the crappy and dodgy agencies around, how can they manage to get clients? The points are:

1. The clients or HR departments are idiots
2. The client doesn't bother. Who cares if we pay 50% commission...?
3. Cheap contractors are the main market for those cowboys and each agency like this one will disappear from the market in 2 years time...

If they sign it, then you could use it in court. Whether you'd win in court is another matter.
