I did find that Silicon Milkroundabout thing, but that's not really the kind of thing I remember from before.
The ones from 14+ years ago were held in central London or in one of those Earls's Court/Olympia warehouses.
The company I worked for had a stand at one once, and they were really popular with companies like Logica.
I guess the Internet has made them obsolete, but they were kind of nice to go to, especially when you'd run out of pens or office toys .
They don't need to do them.
If they want graduates they have teams that target universities - in fact many universities now contact companies and invite them to advertise.
If they want experienced people they do the silicon roundabout or badly use the internet. I only know a few companies who successfully use the internet.
