    Public Sector CL1 contracts

For anyone on a public sector contract being pushed onto the new CL1 contracts, you really, really, really need to worry about IR35 now.

This contract is seriously bad news unless you absolutely have your working practices nailed down, in writing and signed off by the client. Even then it's not good.

Time to dust off the CV I think.

    And as you were.

It seems that this one got escalated sharpish once the extent of the problem was realised. I wont go into details but "business continuity" became a concern.

Previous (IR35 safe) Capita contract reinstated for 3 months while they sort it all out.

Yeah I was looking at MOD contract around Bristol and they were all like this. From what one agent told me, Capita wanted me to fill out a long form about my business practices (dividends, etc.) prior to interview let along actually getting offered the job. I'm steering clear.
