    Own equipment

Just about to take a new gig with a contract stipulation that ltdco must supply own laptop and software compatible with client operating environment

    So I need to source:

    Windows 8
    MS Office
    MS Project
    MS Visio

Internet searching find a huge range of pricing and items on ebay being the cheapest.

Are there recommended sources for agreements/prices that are contractor friendly? i.e. low cost but legit licenses?

Microsoft Action Pack is one option

That looks interesting. What is the online skills/knowledge assessment like?

What are lease costs like? Buying old kit is going to be a real pain if you start hammering it. Maybe leasing some new kit for the pwriod may be more cost effective?

Action Pack is your friend - must admit, haven't used it for a while, but the online assessment thingy was a breeze with Google on a separate screen

MS BizSpark is the canine testes for free software.
Visual Studio 2013, full top spec Office etc all free for three years.

I think Microsoft shut it down late last year. Now you have to be a MS partner and have actual sales of MS licenses.
