Meanwhile you look sad and desperate so even if you had got the contract they will be trying to increase their margin.... But you haven't so they can't be bothered.

Also Experis are big. They used to be called Manpower which should tell you everything you need to know.....
Hmmm. My faith in human nature (maybe unwarranted) would mean I'd like to believe that a decent person who knows someone has taken a day off and travelled to the other side of the country for an interview, would make a bit of an effort to let person know one way or the other.

I know if it was me I would. I wouldn't be able to do business with a clear conscience if I didn't treat people properly.

Maybe the agency have had a bollocking from the client before about pestering them with a "we'll tell you when we tell you, don't pester us or risk losing your PSL slot"

Maybe you could look on LinkedIn...

Since you actually got through to her rather than finding "she's on another call" she might be telling the truth as "sorry you didn't get it" would stop you hassling her. Plus it's very late in the month/year so things could be slow.

But I would prepare to be disappointed. Hassle big-time on Monday and if nothing, assume it's a no.

Yes it is a slow time for companies - I had an interview nearly 2 weeks ago, it was between me and one other candidate - I speak to the agent every day and the agent tries to speak to the client, but as yet no news either way even though the other candidate was given a rejection a few days ago.
This default font is sooooooooooooo boring and so are short usernames

A lot of Banks impose a mandatory 2 week holiday so I would imagine its a skeleton crew on over the holiday period, you'll probably hear after New Yrs!

I was told once that they were only interviewing two people because one had dropped out, then got a call on the way to the interview to say the other candidate hadn't turned up and said he'd found something else. I sailed through the interview, didn't get the job

I know that BAML recently decided it was daft to pay contractors to chillax over christmas / work chirstmas ever up till lunch and never return from pub, etc.
