          They are in the process of renaming Birmingham International Airport "London, Birmingham" (seriously)
          That is one person making a suggestion which was then rebuffed - I draw you to the quote at the end of the article:

          John Morris, head of government and industry affairs at Birmingham Airport was cool on the name change suggestion: “Why on earth would we do that? Birmingham is globally known, it is the city of 1,000 trades.

            I know insiders at Birmingham International and they've told me it's going to happen sooner or later. Even the Birmingham City Council is happy with that. But don't expect official announcements as in the West Midlands things are done a bit secretively, to use an understatement.
