Answer is 'No' when asked......
Then again, telling Client you are unavailable for certain dates, once in the gig, may be a good pointer for IR35 things......but might nark them too!
My answer is no, if I have any holiday booked I always bring it up at the end of the interview to the client now. I applied for a job ages ago where I informed the agent I had a 2 week break and they said the client needed someone who could fulfil the whole contract and were not putting me forward.
I saw the same job advertised with another agent so had nothing to lose and applied through them they called I told them and they said they would put me forward and leave it up to the company to decide. I had the interview at the end asked did the agent let them know about my 2 weeks I would not be available? they said no they did not but in the end were happy for me to start when I got back from holiday.
I never now tell the agent and always mention it at the end of the interview to the client. Its hard enough to get through the agent barrier as it is at times I'm not making it easy for them to reject me when maybe the client would not have had an issue with it.
The agent gets a No, the client gets to know at the interview.
WHS.
That's what I did on this contract.
"I can put any old tat in my sig, put quotes around it and attribute to someone of whom I've heard, to make it sound true."

If I get asked at interview, tell the truth. If they don't ask, I dont tell them. No point putting client off for the sake of it. If its a big issue for them they'll ask is my thinking otherwise why put them off.
For instance, not that I am, but say I'm into some weird sexual fetish. Do I volunteer this info to client? No, course not unless its an issue for them and they'll ask I assume
However, IF I get offered the contract then I'll mention it to agent to advise client.
Only problem with this approach is that agent thinks - Oh no I've got this one in the bag and now contractor is going to spoil it by telling them they're off on hols, what if they can it? So they deliberately don't bother telling client so as to not upset the applecart thinking oh well not my problem.
Get to site. Client knows nothing which can cause hassle. Happened to me once - client wasn't that bothered just a little unpleased with agent. LOL.

So, not that you're into it, but you only reveal sexual fetishes to the agent after you get the gig?
