    anyone else considering permiedom?

I am finding myself entertaining the prospect of going back to permiedom (banking only) the longer I am on the bench. (I have been a bit choosy maybe. Just looking at Contracts in London when I could travel out.)

Just curious ... anyone else thinking along the same lines?

I took a permie role with a consultancy that deals with capital markets clients only, they paid same as a bank permie , and I get to change projects to get better exposure - that's if I get on a project, so far I've been on the bench for a month (paid bench mind) but I hear I am to start next week.

Not sure how long I'd last, I just wanted to add some specific experience to my CV and perhaps go back to contracting if I am not happy working there, but if I am then I'd stay.

I did, then looking at nearly every permie I have worked with, they go through a shorter Bi-Polar episode from Monday to Friday with a longer term one from one holiday to another. I like to know I can just walk or will finish a crap place soon.

Who says bin a permi will increase your experience or add reasonable skills to your CV. well the answer is NO!!! - The opposite is the case. You will acquire more skills bin a contractor than Permi

Maybe true, I just had several reasons to accept this role, and one of them gaining experience in area I am not able to get into as a contractor.
