Is Working Self-Employed in Germany with a UK Limited Company Contract Possible?

I have been advised that you are unable to work self-employed with a UK Limited Company in Germany?
    Is this correct?
If so where can I find the information to tell me why?
Or how can a UK contractor with a Limited Company abide by both the German and UK Tax rules without it costing too much and being compromised?
I will look forward to your comments.

PLEASE NOTE! THIS IS A GENUINE QUESTION AND NOT SPAM!

Seems English might not be your native language and nothing wrong with that, but do you have the right to work in Germany?
