I really like Corel Photo Paint, but unfortunately Windows 7 doesnt. (My version is 8 which is quite old now). It was dead easy to install Windows XP mode, and then install Corel into that. Which then appears as a XP Mode Application in the windows 7 menu. Its actually something Microsoft have done quite well tbh.

Windows 2008 does something similar in a more scalable fashion. I think its called Remote desktop Applications, Ive never done this so cant say how easy it is.

All this said, it could be something quite easily fixed like a permissions problem, registry difference, DLLs missing.
