I have a scanned PDF that I email if requested. I can't see it's worth the hassle.

What intrigues me is people who haven't had a passport for 10 years. What is that about?

And what would you do if they came back and said they needed that as a Word document, as their system "doesn't do PDFs"?

Lots of agencies I've actually turned up on their doorstep with a copy of my passport in hand.

It's quite amusing as the agent is always shocked.

I then explain to them that anyone can fake a passport so asking just for a scan doesn't fulfil the Home Office criteria.

They then photocopy it in black and white themselves.

On the rare occasion (I actually think it's one) that I've sent a passport scan I put it in black and white and put "COPY" on it.

I've had about 4 agencies where either they wanted to see the real thing so the agency made an effort to meet you at the client (if unlike me you didn't live close to them).

I've had clients through agencies who do the passport check themselves. Oddly they don't photocopy it if you are a EU citizen.

Yep, I've taken it in onday one sometimes where the agent has a presence on site.
Last time at this particular client, the agent turned up about 6 weeks after I started and asked me to bring it in that day. No problem.

As I said, it is now 10+ years out of date. Even with the picture of Dorian Grey in my loft, I still dont look like the bloke on the passport any more though, that's why I got the photo ID DL. Now, they dont want that!

Cos I've had no need to go abroad for 10+ years for various family reasons. That's why.
